Several weeks after the US Capitol uprising, authorities in DC, have gathered finite information regarding the person who placed explosive devices outside of the headquarters of the Democratic and Republican parties. Officials are asking the public for help, afraid that the bomber might strike again.
Remains of the explosives, which were safely detonated by a robot at each location, are being examined at the FBI’s lab in Virgina. Authorities have released blurred images of the suspect noting a $75,000 reward for those with information.
The identify of the suspected bomber remains unknown as tips flooded in and charges made against the rioters who stormed the government building at the beginning of January.
Investigators are left wondering if the devices were part of a plan to lead law enforcement away from the Capitol as rioters began to force their way in.
More than 150 people have since been charged by federal prosecutors in connection with the Capitol riots.
