Kevin McCarthy and other Republican members of Congress can rant about how bad the border crisis is, but what are they doing about it?

Last year, at least 2 million illegal immigrants crossed the border, and all we heard from Congress was hot air.

Republicans in Washington will tell you that they have no power to address illegal immigration until they regain control in November, assuming they do.

However, a single New York gubernatorial candidate did more to educate the public about the Biden administration’s collaboration with people-smuggling cartels than members of Congress with far greater resources.

Rob Astorino did not rest on his laurels. The former executive of Westchester County took action. Despite being slandered by Democrats as a racist, he has exposed the deliberate subterfuge of the Biden administration as it flies illegal migrants around the country and secretes them in unsuspecting communities.

Astorino provided the police bodycam footage we reported on last week, in which a Westchester County cop went to White Plains airport on August 13, 2021, to investigate why migrant passengers were being unloaded from a charter jet onto the tarmac hours after the midnight curfew, in violation of federal law.

The 51-minute video was obtained through the Freedom of Information Act and was damning. Federal contractors were recorded admitting that the Department of Homeland Security had instructed them to keep the migrant flights “hush hush” and on the “low” because “if this gets out, the government is betraying the American people.”

The recording was bolstered last October, when we recorded charter flights arriving in White Plains and disgorging migrants who were bussed to various locations in the tri-state area late at night.

After our story, flights into White Plains virtually ceased, but the federal government continues to transport illegal migrants from the southern border to other parts of the country.

Normal patriotic Americans are enraged by the federal government’s betrayal, but their Republican representatives are all talk and no action.

Last week, Upstate GOP Rep. Claudia Tenney called the flights a “complete, aggravated dereliction of duty,” which is why, on Twitter, she called for Joe Biden to be impeached and removed. At least one member of Congress, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, has introduced impeachment resolutions in the House, accusing the president of violating immigration law and causing a national security crisis.

There’s a reason why illegal immigrants marching toward the US-Mexico border worship Biden.

During his campaign, he explicitly invited them here and promised free health care and other perks.

The world heard him loud and clear, which is why millions of aspiring economic refugees from Central America and as far away as Bangladesh, Somalia, Yemen, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, and Eritrea have paid people smugglers as much as $9000 each to cross the border. Border patrol agents are enraged that they are being forced to facilitate this invasion. When Mayorkas arrived at a meeting in Yuma, Ariz., last week, he was met with open hostility, and one agent turned his back. In Laredo, Texas, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz faced the same outpouring of rage from his troops.

According to leaked video, Ortiz was repeatedly challenged. “For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing,” one agent explained. “Good men don’t do anything. You’re allowing illegal immigrants to be dropped off in neighborhoods.”

Bravo to these courageous agents who put their jobs at risk by speaking truth to power.

Republicans in Congress could learn a thing or two from them. What about refusing to collaborate with Democrats until Mayorkas is fired? He deserves to be held accountable for a variety of reasons, including allowing his horse-mounted Border Patrol agents to be falsely accused of “whipping” Haitian migrants.

The DHS report into the bogus incident has reportedly been buried because it casts the administration in an unflattering light.

To his credit, Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton has joined forces with other red-state attorneys general to sue the Biden administration in an effort to halt the flow of illegal immigrants.
