Are you loving more you time while working from home? New research brought about during the pandemic shows that home-working employees in several countries are putting in more hours than before.
On average, working from home has to a 2.5-hour increase in the average working day. Overall, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands stand out amongst the others, with employees regularly working until 8pm.
On the other hand, employees in Denmark, Belgium and Spain had initially recorded a spike in work hours but have since returned to their pre-pandemic working hours.
NordVPN Teams, who works with several thousand companies, researched at the amount of data being sent via servers to calculate an estimate on employees’ working hours.
The company did not find a significant drop in businesses VPN usage during the lunch hour. This information makes it seem that employees are taking much shorter lunch breaks.
