President Joe Biden’s and his team is promising updated guidance on the reopening of schools next week. As more Covid-19 vaccines are being administered, the growing question amongst parents is when will their children be back in the classroom setting.

School reopening are stirring up commotion amongst parents and teachers. President Biden has stated he wants to open the majority of K-8 schools within his first 100 days in office. The CDC will provide more advice on how they can reopen schools next week.

Reopening policies and the readiness of campuses to bring children back through their doors will vary across districts. The ability for schools to reopen hangs on the coronavirus transmission rate in the district. 

After Biden set the 100-day goal for reopening, Dr. Fauci said achieving that goal “may not happen because there may be mitigating circumstances.”
