Mike Lindell, the CEO of the company MyPillow, is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion. Dominion is an electronic voting technology company that faced an onslaught of conspiracy theories about election fraud after the presidential election last fall. The conspiracy theories were later disproven, but Dominion is now seeking over a billion dollars in damages from Lindell after his numerous unsubstantiated public claims that Dominion rigged its machines to help Joe Biden win the 2020 election.

Dominion filed their lawsuit on Monday and cited all of Lindell’s public media appearances and social media posts about Dominion’s voting machines. Furthermore, Dominion states that Lindell buoyed his lies by marketing promotional discount codes to sell MyPillows on his website.

Overall, Dominion is arguing that Lindell’s statements caused harm to Dominion’s name, brand, and reputation and put the wellbeing of their employees and customers at risk, as well.
