If you noticed that Iron Man 3 was trending on Twitter on Monday and were wondering why, here’s your answer: Legions of Marvel fans are arguing over which is the worst movie in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Shane Black’s 2013 Iron Man flick is a leading contender.

The first MCU movie released after 2012’s Avengers, Iron Man 3 picks up with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark as he’s struggling with PTSD following the events of that first Avengers film. He’s having panic attacks, unsure of how to best protect those closest to him and trying to track down a terrorist known as the Mandarinwho, in the comic books, is one of Iron Man’s greatest foes.

It’s that last plot detailthe stuff about the Mandarin, who’s played by Sir Ben Kingsley on the big screenthat seemed to be drawing the most hate from MCU fans on Twitter, per Heroic Hollywood. Without giving too much away about a movie that was released almost seven years ago and popular enough to gross $1 billion worldwide, there’s a twist involving the Mandarin that some people still haven’t gotten over.

Iron Man 3 isn’t the only movie that’s been dragged into the debate about the worst MCU movie, though. Another nominee? The second Thor film,Thor: The Dark World, which, in this writer’s opinion, really deserves the title of the worst movie in the entire MCU franchise. Just a quick explanation: Natalie Portman’s got very little to do in her role as damsel-in-distress, Chris Hemsworth doesn’t get to put his comedic talents to enough use (something he was able to do in the first Thor film and the third, Thor: Ragnarok) and the whole thing just feels 45 minutes longer than it really is. At least Tom Hiddleston’s around as Loki, to steal nearly every single scene that he’s in.

As far as we’re concerned, there is no debate here. But keep scrolling to see what people on Twitter are saying about Iron Man 3 and Thor: Dark World.

@DT2ComicsChat tweeted that Iron Man 3 made his personal “bottom three” list.

@Mindonthefinish would rather pretend the Thor sequel “never happened.”

@DCFlashshill argued, “Thor: The Dark World is limp, lifeless story with the most meh filmmaking on display.”

See the interesting distinction between these 2 movies is that Thor The Dark World is limp, lifeless story with the most meh filmmaking on display. Iron Man 3 on the other hand is an actual heartfelt story with energy and personalty in the script and filmmaking. https://t.co/7VB34t6E5l

@Handsome_Jake_ isn’t a fan of Thor: The Dark World, but they didn’t miss the chance to swipe at Captain Marvel, too.

Thor 2 easily the worst but Captain Marvel sucks too
